[AUDIO] Diddy Clarifies Rick Ross Comparisons To Biggie & Talks Black Cloud That Surroundds Bad Boy Label

Always a good iinterview, Diddy was recently on DJ Whoo Kid‘s radio show in pure Diddy fashion! He gave a rundown on how haters gone’ hate and said that lately, there’s been a black cloud over Bad Boy,his record company, from people talking down. He also recalled the good times when Bad Boy reigned supreme and he was flying his crew to exotic islands.

Excerpt:

“I said on the ‘Angels’ verse, I think he (Rick Ross) channeled Biggie at night. A lot of emcees, they channel Biggie in some of their verses. You hear the influence. When you channel the influence, that doesn’t mean they’re comparing someone to them. I think I also said that he was the Biggie of the South, because I was there. I knew the effect that Biggie was having on New York and the world. I saw the effect that Ross was having on the South.”

Interview with Eightball & MJG: Legends in the Game

Where were you guys the first time you heard yourselves on the radio?

What is one of the toughest lesson you have learned being in the rap game? Many artists have money management problems or too many females and people around them. What have you learned?

Shoot, all of that, (laughing). Money management, some times you have too many people around. There are a lot of things we could have done different looking back on it. But we love the business you know what I mean.

Tell me something most people don’t know about you.

Eightball: I don’t know, I listen to alternative music. I like all kinds of music, and I get inspiration for music from everywhere.
